From 13th August 2014 you can register with your pharmacy for your prescriptions to be processed electronically. Once you have nominated a pharmacy, you just ring them, or order online via our website, and we will receive a request electronically, which we will process and send back to the pharmacy of your choice, for them to make up your prescription requirements, and you can then call in to the pharmacy to collect your medication.
THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE NOMINATED A PHARMACY.
The exceptions to electronic prescriptions are if the medication is a controlled drug, or you need a medication review, or, in some instances, you have not told the surgery if you want a summary care record created (this must be in writing), and the nhs spine doesnt have a preference already recorded for you.
We now offer telephone consultations with the doctor. If you are unable to attend the surgery and do not need to SEE a doctor you can ask for a telephone consultation. The doctor will then call you back at a specified time to discuss your problem. Please ask the receptionist when you call the surgery.
